Events that share the same location are automatically stacked and show up with a heavier shadow. # of events determines the strenght of the shadow.
We added a style² to stacked markers for easier identification.

As per the colours¹ used for each one of our navigation Menu Icons each map marker reflects the type of event by its colour.
A quick glance up to the menu is all it takes to remind yourself as will this colour summary.

To help you plan your journey around town and to the event venues you can use this very handy route planner¹ Citymapper supporting many European & popular locations.
In addtion to various metro & Overground networks Citymapper also covers buses & other transport options in and around currently supported cities.
As far as Flight checkers are concerned: We've used many, some better than others, but generally recommend using Google Flights now
